Ireland will soon be firmly established amongst the many countries around the world seeing strong and growing IPv6 deployment. One of the main reasons for that growth has been renewed IPv6 deployment by eircom and we are delighted that they have registered to join the ranks of World IPv6 Launch network operators.
Eircom Limited, trading as eir, is a fixed, mobile and broadband telecommunications company in Ireland, and a former state-owned monopolist. It is the largest telecommunications operator in the Republic of Ireland, with a division to service the business and corporate telecom markets in Northern Ireland and Britain. Eircom’s deployment has started growing again recently and they are currently ranked 96th by our methodology with an IPv6 deployment percentage of 2.61%.
